The Name is Joe~!
Freelancer. Foodie. Traveler. Storyteller.
Hi! I’m Joe, born and raised in Davao City, Philippines. I wear many hats — freelancer, corporate employee, home cook, coffee drinker, adventure seeker, and yes, that "Mr. Innocent Face" you won’t forget. š
Where It All Began
I started my career in Makati City, where I worked from 2011 to 2012 as a Specialist - Program Admin in a BPO company. Alongside my full-time job, I worked as an online article contributor for international clients and a freelance PR consultant.
This side hustle opened exciting doors — I got to travel and review restaurants, which ignited my love for exploring the Philippines through its destinations and delicious dishes.
A Leap Toward Growth
In June 2013, I made a life-changing decision: I went back to school. My goals? To complete my degree, develop more skills, and stay competitive in today’s fast-paced world.
As a self-supporting student, I juggled multiple freelance roles:
- Article writer
- Layout artist
- Virtual assistant
Eventually, I earned my degree in Mass Communication from Ateneo de Davao University.
Today and Beyond
I'm currently a full-time Project Specialist for an IT company in Makati City. Outside of work, I continue to write, travel, and pursue my passions.
I live by this mantra:"I work, I study, I travel."
My Mission
I aim to promote Philippine tourism through short-form, visual storytelling. My blog articles are styled like narrative magazine pieces — light, easy to read, and full of character.
Whether I’m exploring white sand beaches, tasting local street food, or visiting heritage spots, I write to inspire others to experience the richness of the Philippines.
My Dream
My ultimate dream? To travel the world and discover global culinary flavors — becoming a traveling chef and food writer in the process.
For now, I'm preparing for this by traveling around the Philippines — writing about hidden gems, authentic dishes, and unforgettable local experiences.
The Journey Continues š
I’m still learning, still exploring, and still writing. Every trip, every plate, every person I meet adds to my journey.
So stick around. Let’s discover the wonders of the world — one story and one bite at a time.
Maraming Salamat!
