[Travel] Dahican, Mati, Davao Oriental

Surf, skim, FUN!

I love the waves and beach of Dahican, Mati City in Davao Oriental!

Waves baby~!

Nearest airport is Davao International Airport, outside from the airport's gate you can already ride a bus going to Mati. A 3 hour bus ride from Davao City and a 20 minutes tricycle ride from Mati City center, isn't a pain in the ass. Once you'll get in Dahican, inhale the nice beach breeze and hear the sound of the waves.

I would keep off with the cliche of introducing the place with some nice aspects of it.

I will tell you the two sides of Dahican, Mati.

The Developing Side

Far from the pristine beach, around 2km away from surf resorts such as Dahican Surf Resort comes a developing resort where you can still enjoy the sand and some unique features of Dahican, Mati.

Kubo sa Dahican Resort offers pool and affordable room accommodations. The sad thing about this is that the beach is not much like in Dahican Surf Resort beach strip.

There are some rocky areas and sea urchins on their beach. But it is well manage and still developing to improve.

And there are only one nearby store where you can buy your stuffs you needed. You opt to take a ride back to the city center to buy what ever you need in the resort.

Moreover, it's an experience that can be memorable away from the city buzz.

But the best part of Dahican comes in great scenery.

This beach strip along Dahican Surf Resort comes with no rocky areas on the beach strip, blue waters, hard hitting waves and clean white sand. Surfing and skimming is much fun here!

See how blue the beach waters?

What's great on this side is it is a big tent city where surfers and tourist comes with their own tents to stay for a night.

I would definitely go back to this side of the strip. I miss the waves here in Dahican.
